The Lincoln Trail-A-Thon is your opportunity to explore and conquer all the trails within Lincoln’s city limits. By the time you’ve completed the challenge, you’ll have covered an impressive 92+ miles of scenic trails!
As you complete each trail section, log your progress with us. Upon registering, you’ll receive a sign-up prize to assist you through all seasons of your challenge. Participants who finish all 12 routes by December 31, 2025, will be entered into a drawing for an exciting Lincoln Staycation, complete with local dining, a twilight hike, an overnight stay, and more!
This exciting challenge is all about inspiring healthier lifestyles while celebrating Lincoln’s incredible trail system. It’s a chance to Give Back, Discover More, and Achieve Greatness.

By joining the Lincoln Trail-A-Thon, your entry fee ($25 for adults [19+], $10 for students [6–18]) directly supports the Great Plains Trails Network (GPTN). Your contribution helps expand and enhance the trail system in Lincoln and Lancaster County, ensuring future generations can enjoy these incredible pathways.

Each month, we’ll highlight a curated trail route to help you stay on track. These routes are designed to keep distances manageable and group trails by location for easy exploration. Whether you follow the monthly plan or create your own schedule, the Trail-A-Thon is your chance to discover new paths and hidden gems across Lincoln.
